Nate I have a 2X72 inch Belt Sander/Disc Sander that I use....and it will do everything I need to...to make a Knife...from shaping ...metal removal...to flat and hollow grinding the blades

Thanks for all the ideas guys.  Think I'll give the list to my wife for Christmas ideas. ;D  Good to know a belt sander will work.
