Very nice carving.  My father had a total knee joint replacement.  It set him back awhile, but he is walking like new now...  Hang in there!

I was once a serious duck decoy carver. I sold them too cheaply and had a huge backlog of orders so I walked away form carving in 86. After looking at my huge pile of Tupelo gum carving wood for the last 24 years I finally decided bow and flintlock rifle building had permanently replaced carving. Sold all my wood yesterday, probably 25-30 well seasoned blocks, most large enough to carve a full sized decoy from, for $100.

The bad thing is, I sold all my really great carvings and only have a couple of so-so ones left.

Love that woody, Eric.  Those are by far my favorite duck.  They're a a pain to paint, though.

Beautiful work.  My Girlfriend is recovering from knee surgery to her left knee.  She had some surgery on the right one last year.  Like I told her getting old ain't for sissies! ;D  She ordered a pretty neat device, that pumps ice water, or hot water, through a wrap, and she says it is great.  Her Brother had used one, and liked it, so she ordered one, and saved a BUNCH, instead of going through the local places.  She just puts the ice in the bucket, and some water to the water line, and wraps her leg, and puts her leg up, and enjoys.  I hope you heal quickly, Omha, and Eric, you guys do beautiful work.  There is a wood carver club here, and once a year, they put on a show, and man it is something.  There is a Vietnamese guy who does sea life, and you expect it to move.  There are birds, and human, and all kinds of carvings, that are just mind blowing.  Oh, and fish, and ducks too. ;)  You guys are great.
