Do you think he will make it?

This one did. I know of another one that was shot in the hip with a rifle and made it.
 A friend of mine killed a buck the other day that had 14" of arrow shaft in his chest.
 Hillbillys right.  They are amazingly tough animals.
 I think that one will make it alright. Next year he may not be at 100% though.

He may even have a deformed antler on the left side next year. For some reason deer that have a trauma on one side of their rear end sometimes experience deformed antler of the opposite side.
  He does look pretty emaciated this early in the season.

if that hips bad ryan, and the snow is deep ,  the coots will take him down

I would say if the Yots don't get him he will probably be OK, I think he would down here for
sure,but we don't have that kind of Snow either. :)

Saw a fat adult whitetail doe the other day by Dayton, Wa. She was missing a rear leg above the knee joint.  They can survive alot sometimes.  '  Frank
