Thanks for the kind words, guys, it was a fun project to work on.

I learned a lot from it, too.  ;)

And Mark, yep that's the plan; I want to make a dirk/sgian set. Fun stuff.  ;D

How did you carve and fit the sheath and grip to the blade??? Most of them that i've seen are two pieces chiseled and glued together. Great work btw.

It was difficult for the first time....
It took a lot more focused work than I'm used to, simply doing the job at hand instead of trying to get to the finished product asap.
Yes, the handle and sheath were cut out of a single piece of wood that started out about 10" long.
