Dana sent this to me in an Email .
As a result of my recent near fatal experience I’ve come to realize the only important thing in life is family and friends
And how you are remembered by the same! I started a thread last year about my problem with alcohol unfortunately
I didn’t quit drinking at that time but thought I could control it, in other words I lied to myself and all of you for this I apologize.
No doubt my drinking was the leading cause of my being banned from the forum, as most of you know when under the influence of alcohol
people say and do things they normally wouldn’t. I would like to apologize to any and all that I have wronged or offended please forgive me
as I was not myself. Many of you have met me and I have made many friends through PA and our shared interests. I hope that forgiveness for
my actions can be found in your hearts my friends and please know that I truly miss ya all!
It’s a new year and with it comes the hope of being reunited with all of you.
Once more let me offer my sincerest apologies to all of you and most especially to the admins and moderators.

I'm glad to see Dana is trying to get his life back and truely hope he does. Unfortunately it is totally up to him. I'm sure if any of us could help him we would but at this point the ball is in his court.
Best wishes to you Dana. We miss having you around but for me I can't handle the "other" you. I have lost friends(death) and abandoned friends with this same malady. It saddened me to do so but I've also seen good, caring people get sucked in and not come out unscaved.

I for one never saw that side of him, but even so, Dana is a great guy and one of the most colorful members of PA. His work is exceptional too, and he is incredibly generous – I did a trade with him and he went way above and beyond what we had agreed to. He also mailed me a beautiful maple stave once out of nowhere, which was very cool and I won’t ever forget that.
Can admin reinstate Dana? I hope so.
Moderators, any way to get my email address to him, since he can’t access my profile? If so, I’d appreciate that.
Dana, I hope you are doing well, man. Someone close to me is right now dealing with the same issues, and I’ve gained a lot of wisdom from when you were posting on that subject.
