Glue for Horn

(1/2) > >>

Kev K.:
I was wandering, Is Urac a good glue for elk horn on wood?

Pat B:
In what application?  For overlays, probably yes.     Pat

Justin Snyder:
I think everything else works for horn overlays, so why not urac.  I know some prefer hide glue for horn because it is a natural to natural joint.  Justin

tom sawyer:
URAC and resorcinol are good because they have wood flour in them which fills any gaps nicely.  A 2-ton epoxy would work too.

GregB:
I think Pappy used TB3 for his horn overlays, and I used it for my wood overlays. I've been using resorcinol for billets spliced in the handle.
