My first Scandi style knife

Knife and Sheath, both are beautifull. Fine job with that combo.
NTD:
Gorgeous Knife!!!
medicinewheel:
Very nice knife, very nice sheath!
Would love to hear details on how the sheath was made!!!
TBod:
Very good! Alder rot,how is that to work with? Looks about the same as curly grained Birch.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for the comments. Tbod, the alder root is a nice figured wood, but I have found it a bit on the soft side and seems to mark easily - curly grained birch isnt very hard either, but I now think makes for a better handle. Medicinewheel, I have another knife in progress, with a very hard wood handle (amboina burl) - I'll post a build along when I get to the sheath making. I also have another small knife already finished, which I am now using as my leather cutter, I'll post that one later today.
