Are all serving tools the same?

I use a "Little Spinner" srring server. I have bought cheap ones and was not satisfied. I also just used a fat rubber band around the serving thread spool and it worked OK.  Adjustable tension is the trick to a good server.

Thanks for your input.  Its nice to know that when you need info there's someone that can guide newbee's in the right direction.
I hate to buy something that doesn't work.
 My hard earned pay does not go as far as it used to.

I also use one like is in the picture,have for over 30 years,they will last forever. :)
