knap_123:
this is my first attempt at a basket. its made from pine straw out of my yard. you can see how my pattern started off random. but as i got to the edges i started to pick it up. http://i328.photobucket.com/albums/l338/knap_123/soapbasket004.jpg[/img] and another   now pat, i'm thinking like you. i feel that if for thousands of years the locals did this. one of them had to be artistic and creative enogh to do  it.  and i bet his or her friends love it!  so i'm going to try it.

Bevan R.:
Looks good to me! I would be happy with that on my 10th try! ;D

jonathan creason:
Looks really cool, I wouldn't believe it was your first if you hadn't said it.

Pat B:
Cool pinestraw coil basket. What did you use to wrap the pinestraw? My wife made a few of those years ago when we lived in Coastal SC. She used stripped palmetto fronds with long needle yellow pine needles.
Now, make yourself a quiver!  ;)
