gar in cold weather?

its 75 deg. here today, and im getting the itch to start shootin at gar again. i think you can only really get at them once the watter warms up and its just intinsely hot outside. am i right? or can you find them at night with a spot light and a boat when the water is cold?

They start spawning around mid-March in SC, so they'll probably be coming up sooner there.

Like Hillbilly said, they'll be spawning soon.  If you catch it just right you can skewer them 2 and 3 at a time. >:D

 They'll start coming to the surface when the water warms up.
