Well, I got in on this one a little late. Was going to suggest a stemmed type - like maybe a hardin ::). Anyway, you did a great job on that one John!

Thanks a lot.  It just gest more fun each day.   I have been watching a video this morning that think will help me thin even better. Dc waldorf? I. Hope it will help me get better with thinning the preform even more. He uses an antler on the edge as he is thinning i think because of the angle.  I am going to give it try tonight.  Thank again everyone you guys are great.

It looks good to me. ;D Wrap it with enough sinew and you can't see the difference in the notches.

I have 15 shafts to work on after I get points made.  I have been trying to make them 100 grains give or take a couple.  It is getting easier to make these points with each one.  I cant wait to start halving them.  Should be much easier with the bases made so much better.

Nice point.  Pretty gutsy posting before finishing - that would have guaranteed breakage for me...   :'(

Ya I know what your saying.  I snapped 4 point before this one and learned that it is better to settle for a smaller flake rather than a broken point. I learned to set the tip of the copper on the plane you want the edge of the of the platform to be at after the release.
