Sorry to hear that.  I don't mean to add more misery, but I really don't see things getting any better, for quite a while.  In fact, I do believe things are going to get a lot worse.  You can't be in debt to China, be off the Gold Standard, and print money like you are selling monopoly sets, and not have it all crash down on you.  I do hope she gets rehired, and the substitute idea in the mean time is an excellent idea.  Good luck, and God bless.

Dear  Criveraville  !
I know that words can cured and kill but in this situation words are nothing !
Only action of herself and Your support and help will make miracle.
She must make all by  Her  own brains  and  her 11 number - ( by the  legs).
In country where I live   People after  40 let about 50 are becoming  nothing.
After colaps of the  State  We were not ready, that woman can be  though  out on the street because of the age, and if They are refused to sleep with boss.
But just now it is our terrible  realities.
If it is capital  of   the State where  I live  teacher  can survive, if it is province the  salary is  so awful  little, that one  teacher  must work for three salaries,  as one salary only for the  death.
I wish to Your  wife  remember, that She is young and Her life only begines.
She must cheere up and begine to find new job.
My  two  American  aquantances  were  fifty five,  and  97, both  died  two years ago  in one month.
One  was  happy  as She find herself in  work and hobby, the another  lost all besides of job, as Her husband was fantastic high American boss, but   losted hope.
She  had to work for Herself for Him and for the hopes  of  the two.
She was broken  by  absent of the hope,  as She could not change his motivation to the face's hope, unfortunatly.
I see that You did not lost hope, that You both overdone.
I wish both of You a good way.
Remember You are both Young.

Mechslasher:
know how you feel.  i've been teaching 14 years and still worry a bit this time of year.  if they keep cutting the only ones that'll be left would be the administrators.  that will be sad and funny at the same time because the majority of them that i've worked with have already proven that they can't teach so they administrate.  i have a fellow who taught elementary pe for three years and he's trying to explain to me how to teach honors and cp biology.

Marc St Louis:
It is very odd that teachers would be dismissed like that.  You would think that educating the young would take take precedence over most everything else since they are the future.

gstoneberg:
You would think.  However, when it comes to political decisions, logic seldom matters.   :o :o oops, I typed the P-word.  :P
