What type of string??
HickoryBill:
What type of strings do you guys prefer? And what methods do you use to make them? Lately I've switched to a Flemish style string. I think I'm making them correct, putting both loops in and then twisting the string up. Works good for me, so far.
mullet:
I like Flemish twist B50. But I do play with FastFight too.
Pat B:
Flemish twist, 14 strands, 2 bundle B-50 and a bowyers knot in the lower end.
toomanyknots:
Euroflax brand sport weight linen yarn, 8 to 12 strand strings depending on the weight, 14 strands for real heavy bows. One string is typically 10# to 15# breaking strength to give you an idea. Two bundles flemish twisted with two flemish twist style loops on each end, always flemish twist style loops even on primitive plant fiber strings as it is the only one that has consistently worked without breaking for me.
Jesse:
I use flemish string as well. B50 to pad the loops but the main string I like fast flight.
