Can't agree with "just another yew ELB" either. a beautiful example of the classic ELB. The character in the brace shot and full draw make it even better.  keep em coming.

No no no no no... That's not Hickory, that's the pale sapwood doing it's intimate dance with the heart wood.
Ok maybe I'm getting a bit florid there but you know what I mean ::).
I had to work it down a bit as it was too thick and I'd have ended up with no heart wood at the tips if I'd left if full thickness.

Never get bored of a nice ELB especially a nice one like that in yew. Lovely bow i will have to start nagging various people for more yew..
What kind of diameter trees are your recent few yew elbs coming from?

@ Dwardo The recent bows are from 2 logs cut last February about 5-6" diameter.
