is it salvageable????

finally finished my first full size red oak board bow :D ( I had made some 4' kids bows) It was 68" nock to nock pyramid style around 42lbs @ 29" with slight recurves. I shot it 50-75 times and it was shooting great , but I took the string off to tighten it , when I went to restring the bow it broke about 2" above the bottom nock :(. I know it will never be the same , but was wondering if it would be worth the time to shorten the other end , and re-tiller???  ??? ??? ??? Thanks

working on re- building this bow. I have it shortened down to 58" nock to nock ( I had broke off more than I thought ) I have narrowed the width of the limbs , and have been re-tillering. the limbs are about 3/8ths" thick now and she is still stout . I have her tillered to around 18" . I don't have a bow scale so I'm not sure how much she's pulling. I'm hoping to get at least 26" draw. Do ya'll think it's do-able? Any tips on getting there? I'm taking it slow and working the limbs alot between wood removal, I would love to make this bow shoot :)  On another note I have made a long bow for my 11 year old son , and he loves it . I'm going to try posting pics in the bow section. :)
