Boiling in oil....

I think you'd want a marinade for osage, its pretty tough stuff.
The whole process sounds so Medieval!
How are you going to get the oil off when you want to finish it? Guess you could use an oil finish without having to remove it.

I think boiling oil will destroy the wood cells. Lilly

The longer you boil the better with osage due to its toughness, just make sure you don't run out of water! ;D I have a great osage and dumplin's recipe if any of you want it...if you don't mine your dumplin's turning yellow. ;D
