tiller opinions/advice???
« on: June 13, 2011, 12:24:29 am »
Any critique would be appreciated...

This is the quava I got from Manny in about 2007.  Have not done much lately but got the "bug" to work on one and this was ready for me!! :D

One time I think it is coming to where I want it and then the next time it looks terrible.  Any comment I would find helpful.

I think I am ready to string it with a short brace???

The blue tape shows where there is a small knot/ defect.....should I leave more wood there or just tiller it so it bends there like the rest??

                     Lowell

It is 70" long right now but I think I'll take it down a couple inches...I hope to end up with about 45# to 50# at 26"
My son says I shoot a stick with a stick!!

Yes, leave more wood on the width by the knot. Let the know swirl. Looks like it may be ready to string. Jawge
