Built my first knife in memory of my Grandpa....

another neat idea if you are up for a change in direction might be to have your grandfather sign his name on something and then follow the "etch a-long" that 4esttrekker posted on here and etch his name on your blade?  Just a though since he is still with you and around.  Looks great.

this is a great post.i have a similer knife though i didn't make it.my father gave me a western bowie that he got with s&h greenstamps in the 70's.he gave it to me when i was young.when he died i gave the bowie to my grandfather.when he died at 88 years old my grandmother gave it back to me.i sent it to a knife maker and had it redone in memory of them both.here is the pics.the handle scales are cal buckeye with mosaic pins.i chose buckeye because we are from ohio.hope you like,steve
