stickbender:

Check your pawn shops, and yard sales, and flea markets. ;)

Dang it, Wayne, hush ::) ;)

stickbender:

Oops.....but before you check out those high priced Pawn Shops, over priced junk garage sales, and dealer packed flea markets, checkout "Easy Eddies" used bow shop. ::) ;)  Just contact Mullet, and he will make the deal, with the bow you need!  ;)  He has deals no else has! ;)    sorry.....Eddie.  Forgot about you needing money for the road trip to S.C. :-[

i used an old bear whitetail hunter recurve when i first started years ago.it was a 45/50# 52" and worked like a charm.you should be able to find a bear made in the seventies for a hundred or less.i now use a 55" deer rawhide backed osage selfbow.it is also a 50#.i've got one of those strap on spool mounts from three rivers.you can put the reel on any bow you have with it.hope this helps, steve

seabass:
