OK, has anybody tried Grumley style brush nocks?

MattE:
I haven't tried them nor have I seen anyone else try them. They would seem to impart a lot of hand schock a the bow?I am interested in them myself.

duffontap:
I'm with MattE on that one.  I love the way they look but I'm sure they would seriously cost you something in performance.  Brush bow range is short so that may not matter.

I was only wondering about Grumley type brush nocks earlier this week on a first foray and probably last into a 3 piece takedown fibre glass static recurve [ forgive me I'm weak on occasion ] and decided that the weight penalty and probable hand shock should not be that great a concern with minimal length and scalloping of the side of the brush nock . What about the massive siyah's on some of those horse bows as well and who cares Grumley nocks look wild . regards Perry

venisonburger:
Here's a pic, and one of an attempt that I made, but the bow died so it never got finished.

THAT'S what I'm talkin' about right there! ;D Thanks V'Burger for the pic...BTW...how DO you string one of those puppies?? ??? The string loops must be massive ;) I suppose the string is free to slip over the tip  instead of the limb?
