Hickoryrecurve with Plumwoodhandle

(1/6) > >>

AndrewS:
Hi,

here is a new recurve I made for a friend - also a bowyer (with no time to make himself a bow)

She is from hickory and the glued on handle is Plumwood. The tips are also from plumwood glued together with a stripe of horn.
There is also horn at the bellyside of the recurve - I had shaped the hickory to thin at the recurves so that I had to reinforce the recurves.

She is nearly 1,5 inches wide direct after the fades, the nocks are 3/8inch wide.

She pulls 52lbs @28 inches and has a NTN lenght of 61".

Hope my friend will like her???

well done. any chance of another full draw pic. the fence and tree are screwing with my head. lol

waterlogged:
I like the horn, but I'd have to agree with jamie... there's a lot going on in the background of that full draw pic.

Justin Snyder:
I love the horn on the back of the recurves.  The plumbwood is nice also.  I am with Jamie, the background makes it tricky to see. But that chain link makes it especially hard to focus.  :P Justin
