Pat, I love the lines of your bow. Looks like a great shooter. Good hunting!
Gordon, vine maple, elk, deer...sounds like they belong together. Good hunting!
Okie, a 60# osage with 650gr arrows...that ought to do the job perfectly. Good hunting!

Love to see more. For me that is why I started making selfbows, was for gearing up for hunting. I love shooting my glass bows. But the ultimate, for me, would be to head into the mountains with a bow and arrows I've built from just wood. Thanks for posting!  David

Once you kill that elk or deer with a wood bow and arrows you've made you just did something few have done. You have a feeling only you can under stand.

Will H:
Im gonna use "Ol Red" this year. 55#@27" Im shootin some heavy ash arrows I got from PEARL DRUMS with 125 heads. Mostly flint arrowheads with an occasional Zwickey for good measure. I love this bow and I shoot it better than any bow Ive ever made. Cant wait to get on some Tennessee deer!  >:D We got em runin round like rabbits here.   :) :) :)

snag:
I believe Ol' Red will bring the meat home!

Crooketarrow, that's the way I'm thinking about this selfbow thing.

NTProf:
Keep this thread going! I will post once I decide what bow to make for this hunting season.
