Thanks Pappy and the rest of the gang that helped with the Classic.  I had the time of my life down there.  This year I met so many wonderful people, many of them members on here.  I have never felt so welcomed and at home.  The guys in the bow shop were amazing.  I watched Gary, Matt, Steve, and Clay help so many beginners with their first bows.  They sure helped spread the addiction to a new crowd.  I watched Blackhawk take a piece of fire wood and turn it into a screaming Molly.  Hickory Bill made one fine osage bow as well.  I really wanted to hit the knapping pit, but I just couldn't get myself to leave the bow shop.  Next year I'll bring a few more staves to work on.

Is anyone starting a picture thread?  I have a few good ones I would like to post.
I love animals, they taste great.

Clint, you might as well get a Classic pics thread going. I'll bet it won't take long to fill up.
Thanks for the staves. I sure would like to incorperate the hole in the osage in a bow but I will have to study that option with the others. The hackberry will be a new experience for me so I'm looking forward to working with it.

Clint I was wanting to meet you but you know how that goes at the classic. So many good folks and not enough time.
Three things in life that I live for....... Jesus!, Family and friends, and time in the woods with stick and string.

Sorry Clint. I used to be so good with names. It's hard when your mind starts slipping. I knew it was a hard C or K sound, just couldnt remember. Anyhow it was a pleasure talking with you and seeing your bow work. And Thanks for the kind words.  ;)

There is only one bad thing about the Classic besides it not happening once a month and that is there are so many people I wanted to to meet and see their bows first hand that just didn't happen.  Hopefully, next year I can add a couple more days to the trip.  My wife is the owner/director of a Montessori school.  She alread said that she's going to schedule a couple personal developement days to coincide with the Classic for the school's 2012-13 calendar.  Gotta love that women.  :)
