Can ya send us a stave to try? If ya can supply us we may be able to create a new carrier for ya! ;D How fast does it grow? If its grows fast enough maybe you can plant it like a crop and grow some premo straight staves for longbows! Save you from having to go trampsing through the jungle tangle over there.
Yew is getting harder and harder to get ahold of. Seems like they treated it like a weed for so many years in the longing industry and so much is protected that the price of a stave or finding one is tough.

well I couldn't get it to 45", hit a wall at 43, plus the string just about came of
I unwrapped the limb to show the original compression fracture,...no other frets developed in the course of the experiment ;D ;D
