GregB:

Cool thread Mannie...I really enjoyed it! ;)

I was wondering if you burnish the backs of your bows?

Pat B:
This is a very cool and informative thread Manny. Makes me feel better about my snaky guava stave. ;D

NOMADIC PIRATE:
Thanks Greg,...no I don't burnish the back, but I've being thinking about it, and I might start to.

Yeah Pat, I knew it was a tough to brake, but now I feel even better about the durability, and as a hunter to me it's real important, I know my bows gave me most of the time pass thru on pigs, so even if not the fastest, there's plenty there,...now I know that in normal conditions there's no way they break, what more can you ask ?? ;D ;D

This experiment validates what I've being sayng for years, ...I don't really know much about bowmaking, but I've just got lucky to find a wood that let me get away with murder ;) ;)

Mickey:
LOL Manny that was something else to see. That's some tough stuff for sure. I'm suprised though that the BG outlasted the selfbow. I would have expected the bamboo to splinter way before a good self back.
