   I've nevewr killed and elk with a selfbow and knapped point but I have many bucks. Thats SWEET isn't it. I know the feeling.

I wonder over the centuries how many times man has taken elk with such gear as yours? Many times I'm sure would be the answer, but not so often now in modern times. Congratulations for your success with primitive equipment, quite an accomplishment!

thanks guys. a thought occurred to me as I was packing the elk out." the last time a elk was shot in this area with a stone point was probably by a Nez Perce over 100 years ago" maybe the spirits guided me on my quest, I will never know for sure.

I've been back to this site several times...what a great accomplishment. My first primitive elk hunt in Arizona is coming up in about 12 days. Thanks for sharing the pics / it CAN be done. Congrats!
