Dead Deer in the Pond

Deer was most likely wounded and died in my wife's family pond. Just found out but it has been there a week or so. I had hand surgery this week and can't do much. The other family fellers say leave it for the turtles but I'm not sure about that.
What do ya'll think?

If nothing else get it out so it does not continue to add bacteria to the water in the pond.  Bones should still be ok - tendons? hmmm....

Eighty year old ma-'n-law finally badgered her son and his son to get it out. Only took a week.
Well, it was in 10 feet of water...

A teacher I work with had a dead cow in his pond. He went in and got it out. He got flesh eating bacteria on his leg and it had to be taken off just below the knee.

Jeez, Criveraville, NOW you tell him after he's drug the durn thing outa the water!

I bet Lane is in the shower right now with a bar of Lava soap and a big ol' wad of steel wool in the other!

Cipriano I am truly sorry about your fellow teacher but at least it was his leg.... ::)

Anyway this deer was not infected, tasted fine.
