Congrats!!!  Awesome looking gear your using too.  Can you tell us more about the hunt and the arrow(shaft material, art. sinew?)?

iowabow:
This is an osage bow that I made this weekend it is 53 lbs at 26 inches. The arrow is made from a red oak log that I split for the shaft the feathers are from a turkey and are held on by milkweed fibers that I made thread from. I glued the feathers on with deer hide glue. The point is attached with pine pitch and is tied with sinew from the leg of a deer.  The cock feather was dyed with blood root and the black paint was made from egg yoke and charcoal. The orange paint for the cresting was from blood root.    This buck came into the stand at 723am and stopped at 30 yard then walked to 25 yards and turn to leave. I took a shot and missed then he ran 5 yards closer and I carefully notched another arrow and aimed for the center of the deer because I have been hitting to the right a little but this time it went right where I was looking. The arrow went all the way through the deer. I did not go through the Lung but the liver and spleen that caused the deer to bleed out very fast. He only went 300yards or less. I waited 6 or more hours before I went to look for the deer but it died within minutes after being hit. I was very happy with the way my arrow held up the pinpitch is still glued to the point and the sinew never broke.

Dazv:
well done i really like your quiver.
