Wood cutting.Sat.

Some thick sapwood on that one. I love the smel emitted when fesh wood is splitting.

Ryan if I knew what kind to cut I will cut you all you want.What you need to do is make a trip to Tn. and hunt some deer/Turkey and pick them and I will be glad to cut them and send them North with you.Opens in Sept. and closes in Jan. ;)

The weather couldn't have been better Saturday temperature wise, we hit it lucky. Hopefully the cooler weather will also allow the moisture to leave the wood initially at a slower rate, and maybe we won't get any checks in the logs. Most of them will eventually need to be split at least in half, and some into thirds...but we got them to a weight us old guys could handle. Would have had to reduce them more if we'd had some younger generation helping that havn't experienced real work! ;D
It was scarey there for a while with Pappy's leg until we realised it wasn't broken. I thought for sure we were looking at an Emergency Room visit.
