saying goodbye :(
« on: January 21, 2012, 11:37:40 am »
So my osage bow, Old Reliable, has a new owner  :D  My friend shaun came and picked it up earlier today, but not b4 i could snap a pic or two :D  Osage Orange, 54 lbs at 28 in, 63 in NTN, 1.9 inches wide at the fades down to 7/16 at the tips.  It has a nice wobbly bottom limb.  along with a dozen 3rivers POC field points, and a selfmade northern white cedar shaft with an obsidian point and sinew bindings.....craft feathers from Micheal's :D  This is an older bow that i posted a while back,  it had a stiff top limb so i chopped it down 2 inchs and retillered :)

That was a nice bow. I'm sure your friend will get some enjoyment and hopefully food out of it.

how do those craft feathers from michaels work by the way?

Don't think of it as losing a bow, think of it as gaining a archer-in-law!
Guns have triggers. Bicycles have wheels. Trees and bows have wooden limbs.

That's a fine looking set up.  Always hard to let go of them but hopefully they will be well used and your have venison in your freezer from him.
