six pointer
« on: February 05, 2012, 04:35:59 pm »
Here is my set of 6 hunting points for next year.  Kinda boring making the same old point but it is a challenge to make a close set.  I sharpen two and will wait till fall to sharpen the others. They are about 1 and 1/4 at the base.  They are all about 140 grains.   The white stone is novaculite the grey is (Tower Texas) and the black is (Shannon Ky Blue).  The tan orange is a rock I pulled from my creek and heat treated most likely it is Burlington

Great work John.  Boy are we different.  I try to have as many different types of stone heads on my arrows as possible.  Interesting.  I do like to keep their weights similar.

I want to test how each style works before I pick one to stick with.
