feeling normal again

georgetown knife, all hammerstone





mookaite mostly hammerstone with some tine work and a couple hits with the horizontal punch to remove a stack, antler punch for notches



rootbeer dove, all hammerstone with a couple swipes with a moose billet and a pass with a tine, antler punch for notches

I don't have anything against slab work, working with copper and all the other tools we all use. I all has it's own beauty and I love it all. However, there is something about ABO that pulls at the heart. Maybe it is that primative gene we all have. There is that special feeling I get when I look at work that has been done with nothing more than what is provided naturally... rock, antler, leather, sweat and blood. It's primative and it's beautiful. Great looking work Jamie.

I agree, there is something very special about using the same tools your ancestors used. It really makes you appreciate their level of skill.
