Does hunting in high temperature/hot sun affect selfbows?

Hillbilly:
I don't know how much normal high temps would affect a strung selfbow, but I recently saw a nice BBO delaminate after sitting in a hot car all morning and being strung up and shot. I try to keep my selfbows out of the sun as much as possible when they're strung and it's really hot.
