a black locust selfbow

cowboy:
Nice bow! wish we had BL around here (TX), or maybe we do and I just don't know what to look for?

snedeker:
Why thank you all.

Rich, about 63" length.  I am tending to make my BLs a little shorter and narrower than many, but maybe this is because the stand I got this out of was particulary primo.  Also, I like to live on the wild side a little.  For 29" and wood of unkown composition, I would say maybe 67" would be good?  I'll get a pic of the whole profile.

Re: Texas.  Its hard to believe theres not some B. Locust around there somewhere.

GregB:
Good looking bow! Looks like a good tillering job! :)

OldBow:
Nicely done, Dave.  Sent this bookmark to my computer from Juneau, AK.

tom sawyer:
Beautiful bow.  I love the golden tones of BL.  I have a couple of backed BL bows that I'm just starting on.
