another sticks and stone turkey disaster

I know a friend who hit two different gobblers hard with stone and self bow at real close range. Less than five steps and both are still being seen. One limps a bit and the other seems fine. Turkeys are tuff. Mike

Man, I guess the Indians, and our forefathers, must have done a lot of trapping them buggers! They are indeed phenomenal creatures when it comes to surviving wounds that would kill us! :o Like they said, keep at it, you'll find the right combo. I would think back shooting would be the most successful, since there aren't any thick feathers there, and almost any placement would be fatal.
