They are tough >:( i cant even imagine myself trying a head shot let alone a body shot ...target is to small for my skill level ...i have had to put a follow up shot with modern gear even though (after an autopsy )the first broad head took off the bottom of tbe heart it still kept running. Unfortunately it is part of hunting...best of luck on your next ;)

The difference in target size between head and lungs is minimal at best. Like Ryan said, its just a few lost arrows.

I guess that's why they shot these back in the day. I'd say 50/50 chance of success anywhere on head or neck. >:D

Or maybe that's what these were used for? Although you would have to be quite a good shot with an atlatl to hit a bird's neck.
