my arrow wrenchs/ raw shafts and finished arrows
« on: May 23, 2012, 04:15:10 pm »
Thought I'd post my arrow wrenchs. The closed one is for straightening raw shafts, and the open one is for "adjusting" finished arrows (with heads and fletch). Nothin special, but it's another use for antler tines, maybe give some ideas.

Oh ya the way they are used is to anchor the tool with one hand on yer knee (sitting) and run the shaft with the other hand, thats why they got a small curve to 'em. The closed tool I also use to burnish and as a size gauge for my split hardwood shafts.

PS, I usually "bore" mine with a pocket knife, that I ground into a "dagger" shape. The core in the middle of antler is soft enough to carve pretty easy with a knife......if it's easier just use a drill and bit. >:D
