$1.50 Yard sale hatchet (pic heavy )

Found this jewel at a yard sale yesterday, along with a couple other things. Spent yesterday afternoon cleaning it up, I think I'm gonna be proud of it when I'm finished...... :)

Found a chunck of maple in the woodshed ( I would've rather had hickory , but ....... I had the maple ;) ) .........

Roughed out a handle................

Put it together:)  Looking good so far. Polish the head some more , stain the handle, add a lanyard and a belt sheath, and I think I'm gonna like it alot  ;D

 My @#$%&..computer wouldn't bring the pictures up to show the final product. What I can see with my magnifier,she is looking good. Great find.  '  Frank
