Good stuff
I just don't think a barb is worth the effort except on larger hooks to be used on set lines.
I've got some large hooks with the barb on the outside like Dakota Kid did. I plan to use them on a trotline and shoot for catching a forty pound catfish.
The point angle on the ctaat hook will work similar to a circle hook. A fifty percent hook up to bite ratio is good for a stone hook and actually landing fifty percent of hooked fish would be a good day. They just aint as efficient as a modern steel hook at hooking fish, but stone hooks get bit and catch fish pretty well.

Here's one I made from a gravel flake last night and videoed the process to put on youtube.
I'll post a link when it's uploaded.

Those are very good videos, 1442.  Just seeing your tools and techniques makes a difference, much thanks.

1442:
Thanks Parnell
I hope they are helpful

It was raining cats and dogs this morning so I sat it out and made another fish hook out of a central tx flake.
