Point of The Month - Sticky

<< < (74/337) > >>

gstoneberg:
Thanks.  I wish I'd started with a longer spall, but I wasn't finding any, so it is what it is.  I had a nice narrow notch punched in on one side, but the other side blew out right away as usual.  At least I got this point thin enough.  I did one right before it that has a turtle hump in the center, step fractures on all sides but the point end.  Good grief.

Tower:
Nice point George. I looks perfect from here. Had any luck hunting?

gstoneberg:
Haven't been out but once. Dr. diagnosed me with shingles today which explains why I've felt so lousy this weekend.  Not sure how soon I'll get back out there.  And thanks.

On a sad note, the landowner has put that property where we knapped up for sale. I get to hunt through deer season but don't know if we'll be able to do a knap-in come spring. :( Might be looking for a new place.

Tower:
Sorry to hear about your ailment,& dadgumit about the hunting lease. What is he asking for it?

gstoneberg:
Thanks.  He was just meeting with realtors over the weekend.  They probably won't come up with a number for a week or so.  It is 200 acres, no electricity and just a windmill well for water.  Interestingly, when he told me he was selling it he said he hoped the knapping guys could come out one more time.
