Any noodlers on this site

criveraville:
It just became legal here in Texas not long ago. I'm perfectly fine with driving with 30 live rattlers in the back seat of my car, but noodling is just too creepy for me  ;) Nice haul.

Badger:
On a fish that big do you cut the cheeks out of it?

nclonghunter:
Badger,
I noticed no one had replied. I have never noodled but want to. Cutting the cheeks out is a good question, but most may not know what you are asking. I had never heard of cutting the checks out until I started doing fish taxidermy years ago. I was amazed how much meat was in the cheeks below the eyes. On a good sized bass, I would remove a fifty cent piece of the best meat in a fish. Those big cats have got to have some big chunks of cheek meat.
Meet a fellow on the beach once and that is all he wanted from peoples fish. He would take a knife and make a circle cut under the eye and take the meat. Guess they fry like little fish medallions???

Stringman:
Hoggin, loggin, noodlin, handfishin, or ticklin... Dont matter what ya call it, it is a great way to put tasty catfish nuggets on the dinner table (and a great way to cool off in the summer heat!) This is a pic of my buddy in our favorite hole.
