Military seperating to Tennessee
« on: June 12, 2012, 04:12:05 am »
Well, new to the site and to the magazine. Not to primitive camping or the like though. I am finally going to be able to get back to the woods the way I grew up shortly, and doing so in Tennessee around Chattanooga. Been there once with my wife who spent summers doing camps when younger, and loved the area. Now I want to get back into the more primitive fun I had as a kid growing up in Alaska, well minus the fact I have to learn a new land. I would also like to learn some new skills to include making bows, and knowing what I know where better to learn and people to learn from, then those that do it for a national magazine.

So to all in the forum, greetings from Washington moving to Tennessee hope to learn from you all.

Welcome, Cracker is right. Moving to Chattanooga is right down the road from the Promise Land for primitive archery. And Primitive Archer magazine is an international magazine like this site. ;)
Lakeland, Florida
If you have to pull the trigger, is it really archery?

Well it is final, 15 years and now I am a civilian. Wish me luck in the new world that I can find a job when I get down to Tennessee.

I've lived in Chattanooga, but grew up further northeast in Tennessee. If you have the time you can drive up to Carter County or Johnson County. Plenty of woods in that area.

Air Force has me stationed down in Augusta, GA now, and I get back as often as I can.

The only thing I'll tell you about Chattanooga is the drivers are horrible. You should enjoy it though. Congrats on your retirement by the way, and welcome to the board.

Hey I live in Chattanooga as well. It is a great place to live...I'm going to have to disagree on the driver though because I think everywhere there are bad drivers lol. Good luck with your move to Chatt
Trying to learn all I can.
