Yew Warbow - 130-140# question.

I'm seeing a small hinge in the lower limb, about 8 or 10" from the tip. But I haven't seen an unbraced picture yet, so this hinge could very well be a small spot with deflex.
I would only work the inner third of both limbs at this point. The outer limbs are working pretty good, but it's the inner thirds that are stiff.

Also, get rid of that tiller stick. It's a huge set inducer, if not a murderer for such heavy bows. Use a tiller tree with pulley system, or the mirror.

how thick is the sapwood layer on that bow? I have a curing yew stave with a layer just over 3/8" which i think is a little too much, but the rings per inch are 40, and I don't know how to reduce the sapwood without violating a ring on wood like that.
