birch eastern woodland bow

this is a birch bow that i was making for lizzard camp for a give away, i steamed the tips and a few days later heat treated it, i'm really likeing this birch, anyway she's been pulled out to 29", 27" in the pics and goes up to around 43# @ 29", shoots nice, first 5 i shot i broke 2 nock's at 15 yds, hope ya like, Bub

man o man bub, that looks great, and got Eastern Woodland wrote all over it. love the color and what a bend!!!   By the by....hows that knee, sir?

Very nice bubby, that bow has a sweet bend and I love that style bow too. Could I ask what variety of birch that is and is it from a stave or a board? Just curious, never worked birch before but have wanted to try it since I know native americans put it to use for bows.
Yours is a nice representation of woodland style, well done bub.

thank's rich, they cut on that knee the 26th, forgot to mention i used rit dye on the stained part's and sealed it with rich's secret sauce, man i love the smell of that rich

thank's greg, i got the birch from rich but i think it's paper birch, i'm impressed with it, i got a little to much bend in the middle but no set, and the walnut backed with birch is the same, Bub

Sweet!  Looks like a good one to me.  We only have river birch down here....  I have thought about giving it a try.  Bubby, that one looks like it would cool a deer off.  ;)
