Arrow ?
wvarcher:
What spined arrow should i shoot out of my bendy handle D bow I'm pulling 50lb at my 27" draw length. The handle is rectangular with the corners rounded. 1-3/8ths inches wide at the grip/handle and 3/4 of an inch thick. thanks
youngbowyer:
an arrow that is spined at 45-50 lbs
wvarcher:
Well, i've tried arrows 40-45and they fly high and to the left. Dropped down to 40-45 and 30-35lb and they all hit high and to the left.
Ifrit617:
Can't your bow and increase point weight. Then use 4-5" fletching... They should straighten out.

What is the length length of your arrows? Commercial shafts are spined for a 28" arrow with a 125gr point attached. For each inch over 28" you can subtract 5# of spine weight and for each inch less than 28" you can add 5# of spine weight. Heavier points weaken the spine of an arrow. I draw 26". I cut my arrows to 30"(2" over 28" = -10#). So an arrow commercially spined for
50#-55# but cut to 30" would have an effective spine weight(shoot like) of 40#-45#.
I think longer arrows "get around" a selfbow better too when shot.
