strike plate

Anybody ever use this stingray skin for a strike plate?I tried it and really like it.Quiet and durable.Got it from Tandy leather.

No, but it sounds terrific and if you have any extra I'd like to try to trade for it. I've got a few projects that are in need of strike plates and would like something different.
