Deer hunting update.

Nice shot Jesse,nothing like fresh loin and back strap and nothing like your first selfbow deer. :)
and I love them 40 yard tracks. ;) I had the kid youth hunt this weekend so no hunting but plan to get after them hard this week and next.The boys missed a couple of does and took a 6 point Sunday morning,I won't post it here cause it was killed with a 30-30 but he was only 8 yearold.
I posted it on Life is good thread if you care to look .Man he was one happy young man.Good

Had a few close encounters this weekend unfortunately the deer won again. Got busted friday evening and again saturday morning, been windy here and and seems to change direction every5 minutes. I'm about ready to resort to putting some bait out :o Going tonite again and of course contrary wind again >:(

I saw a young buck in one of the neighbors yard this morning on the way to work. I'd say they're defiinitely in the mood... :)

Went out Saturday afternoon, like Dana said-wind was whipping and changing direction every five minutes. Didn't see any deer, but I had a group of three big long-bearded gobblers come right by me. Unfortunately we don't have a fall turkey season here. >:(
