Bone knives

Madcrow do you saw them out or do you just sand them on a belt sander.

a tip for getting rid of the marrow from a deer legbone... saw off the one knob,
boil them ...then take em out and sling them at a nearby dog..the marrow just flys right out..(if you hold it tight)
I found that out by accident in the kitchen...fortunately , didn't hit anyone.   :)

I cut them on a bandsaw adn do the final shaping and sharpening on the beltsander.  The piece that gets cut out usually gets shaped into a couple of arrowheads.
