New use for bow(new to me anyway)
« on: November 29, 2012, 12:16:17 pm »
If you hold it over your head and sway back and forth, occasionally pausing to rack it on some scrub brush, you can call one of these in pretty close.
With a few grunts ,she came in to about 25yds. That was close enough for me ,as I only had the blunts I was using for rabbits and bush chickens. She was out of season anyway. She would have kept coming but I thought better of her and her calf being that close and personal with no real trees worthy of me hiding behind .LOL.

PRIMITIVE ARCHERY what other way can you play with sticks and rocks all day and not look like a little kid

Every time i shoot at a bunny i recall the wise words of Elmer Fudd "I've got you now you waskally wabbit!"

great country there. And sounds fun, looks fun. Pretending to be an animal sometimes brings on crazy experiences for sure.
