shinto saw rasp

Just got one this morning and it is the BEST rasp/file for reducing wood. I have been eying it for a long time and finely pulled the plug. Just wanted to tell people that don't have one that everyone that talks them up is telling the truth!!

Amazing shaping rasps for handles and tips. I wont leave home without it. Great for flattening bellys to.

I traded for one with Mullet and he sent an extra blade with it. I traded off the Shinto w/handle and use only the extra blade Eddie sent me. I never could control the rasp with the handle configuration that came with it.

Thanks for the trade Pat, I really like this rasp! I still prefer the 4n1 and farriers rasp

Totally different Pat. I have the top one, but was introduced to the tool with the bottom style. I found I couldnt use it either, but I could tell it would work.

I've had mt shinto saw rasp for, OMG, 33 years and it is still sharp and fast. The other two rasps that get a workout are the #49 and #50 Nicholson pattern rasps. Wonderful tools.
